This particular variety of Dracaena has been specially pruned to take the shape of a small tree with vertical branches forming near the top of its thin trunk. Dracaena is a popular house plant, native to tropical environments, originating in Madagascar and other Indian Ocean Islands. Dracaena is known for its sword-like leaves that end in a point. In addition to being rigid, the leaves of this variety exhibit vibrant stripes of green and red. This plant is currently around 2 feet tall and is an air purifier that makes NASA's list of clean air plants.
